I wanna take a second to talk about Coffee...... One of my biggest passions! I started my first job at 15, in a coffee shop. It was like heaven. I loved the smell, the taste, learning the process of how to brew coffee, learning the history, just pretty much everything about it.

Coffee is very powerful in the sense of it can wake you up in your sleepiest of times, it can bring old friends back together and it can lift spirits. Some people believe the caffeine found in coffee can be dehydrating but that's not the case! Another misconception that coffee has is that it makes you gain weight... Again, NO! I'll get into all of your solutions here soon but I just want to put out all of these misconceptions first. In addition to the dehydration and weight gain, some say it ages you faster.... Before I get too into this or too worked up, lets go over these together.
Heads up, I may put some links in my posts for some awesome products that I verify myself, and/or personally use. I do get a small commission if someone purchases a product from their businesses but it's no extra charge for you 🤑
One thing I love about coffee is the fact that it can bring people together. Bringing friends, family and community together is super important!
I've worked at multiple different coffee shops and every single one had something special and unique about it and just made for a great environment.
Coffee has the rumor of being dehydrating but it can actually be counted as part of your daily intake of liquid! Technically, it is made of water.. 🤔 Obviously if you only drink coffee everyday, all day long, that would not be recommended...
STAY TUNED FOR A BONUS HACK
The coffee "bean" is not actually even a bean! It comes from the coffee cherry and it's technically a cherry pit. It doesn't grow in the US, unfortunately, but it does grow in many different parts of the world! The science and the process behind it all is very interesting but I wont bore you about it... Today 😉

Additionally, coffee has this great gift of aiding the feeling of fullness. Which can be helpful in those times you feel very snacky or have some time before you can eat. (Exp. Meetings, Fasting, Work or school deadlines, Picking up kids from school, etc.)
BONUS!!
Make your coffee work better for you!
I love this little "trick" or "hack" that I heard a year or so back... To be honest I can be a little impatient some days and don't follow my own advice and end up regretting it later... BUT ANYWAY! When I actually have patients with myself and discipline, This trick works wonders for me ALL DAY!
So here it is... A simple trick to boost hydration and make your coffee work harder for you without you working harder! Wait... Just wait... Don't get out of bed and drag your feet to the coffee maker like a zombie... When you first wake up, drink a good amount of water. Did you know your body loses a lot of moisture when you sleep so you need to rehydrate first! Then wait... Wait at least an hour after waking up to even think about making coffee. My ideal morning includes waking up with water on my side table, drinking as much as I can get up and get my body moving. Making a nutritious breakfast is very important. After eating a protein and healthy fat filled breakfast or even a smoothie, then you can think about coffee... Get that coffee brewer going and choose your goodies wisely. Then enjoy your day and your extra energy!
The misconception of coffee making you gain weight is from those sugary and unhealthy fat filled creamers... 👎 I know, I know, They taste so good... Do you ever read the ingredients of those things?! Those delicious sugar cookie and peppermint patty flavors are what makes you gain weight... There are so many healthier options to buy or make yourself and If you like this post, I'd be happy to make a list of better options!
I've recently heard someone mention that it makes you age faster... That sounds a little crazy to me so I had to dig deeper. The same people that think it ages you faster, think that it's dehydrating. Again, it has the ability to be dehydrating if that's all you drink all day every day so don't do that! 😂
I feel like I could go on and on about everything coffee but again, I don't want to bore you. Stay tuned for more posts about being healthier, crazy coffee facts and life hacks!
