6 Alternatives to your morning cup of Coffee

So don't get me wrong, I am IN LOVE with coffee! I've been learning over the years that too much coffee isn't always the answer. It can worsen anxiety, suppress your appetite so much that you don't eat enough and get the nutrients you need to make it through the day and make it harder to sleep at night...
Trust me, it's just as hard for me to talk about the cons of coffee as it is for you to hear and read about it...

I have spent years practicing and learning all I can about coffee! There is still more for me to learn but for now, I'm here to teach others about some alternatives.
I have personally needed to cut back on coffee intake for multiple reasons, multiple times. Some reasons include mental health/anxiety issues, hormone issues, sleep issues, blood pressure or sugar issues (non diagnosed) and straight addicted reasons 😬. I had to wean myself or cut cold turkey, It was not easy! It definitely helped me feel better but I cannot stay away so I needed to find a way to discipline myself to not just live off of coffee all day everyday for the rest of my life.
Coffee alternatives or even just decaf every once in awhile really saved me. They helped me wean off of regular coffee and helped me stay away from it when I really wanted a yummy drink 😋. I even still go for something other than coffee to help satisfy my craving or to limit my coffee drinking!
So let's get into it!
Mushroom Latte
I want to start with my current favorite! I've even been trying to partner with them, I love their stuff so much! Teas and Chai
Some people are not tea people, and that's ok! But do you know how many different types and kinds of tea they have out there?! SO MANY! Including a delicious sweet orange that has no caffeine but my goodness I need a gallon of it! A big favorite is hibiscus. I personally only like it mixed with other teas or lemonade but a lot of people like it just straight.
Chai is another one of my favorites. It's cinnamon and spice-y and delicious! I prefer mine iced but having it hot on a cold December day is amazing!
Hot Cocoa
This one is kind of a given but I figured I'd throw it in 🤷🏼♀️. When I'm craving a coffee like drink and it's chilly outside, hot chocolate is the way to go! I love adding heavy cream or hazelnut creamer sometimes! Or even just having a small glass of chocolate milk can satisfy that craving. Try it out sometime!
Decaf
Is also a given... It's obviously a very easy choice to use as a regular coffee substitute. But it can still subside the feeling of hunger so be careful how crazy you get with your decaf intake as well 😋.
Smoothies
I don't know about you, but I love iced drinks... Smoothies are a good way to get a cold drink in my system but also add a lot of good things and nutrients to my body! Do you know how many healthy things you can hide in smoothies?! Coconut water, turmeric, ginger, cucumber, electrolytes, avocado, bananas and so much more! Get you a smoothie!
Change of Diet
By diet I just mean what you eat, not that you have to go on a "diet"... But eating the right things and drinking plenty of water, you wont want or need to drink coffee or not as often...
