Easy Ways to Save and Make Money!

I am a sucker for finding new ways to save or make money in everyday life!

Before you roll your eyes and think "I'm not about to be cutting coupons all day on Sunday just to save $5..." I am all about ease and convenience. If I can't easily add something to my daily routine, I won't do it...

For example, I went to the store today and just bought the normal things I usually get. I ended up choosing a brand of cheese on sale because, why not?! After I got home, I put all of my cold stuff away and took two seconds to scan my receipts on Fetch Rewards... I earned $5 in TWO SECONDS! Just by shopping normally. I didn't even try! Now, If I were to have tried, I would have looked on the app ahead of time to see what was getting more rewards and I would have checked my Ibotta for the same thing and then compared prices at the store.

So I tend to realize some things a little too late... I've heard of couponing and sale hunting and things years ago, but it always seemed like too much work. I've gone shopping with no coupons and didn't buy one thing on sale that trip and was always just so upset about spending so much money on things. I wanna show you how I'm fixing that in hopes to help YOU, too!

So I told you about saving money on Fetch or Ibotta but let me dig in a little more...

Fetch Rewards is so stinkin easy! I was shown the app by a customer at one of my old coffee shop jobs. She always asked for her receipt and while we were making her drink, she'd take a picture on her phone... 🤔 I finally asked what she was doing and she showed me the app. "All you have to do is open the app, take a picture of your receipt and you get points that turn in to gift cards!" GURL! Sign me up! I got her referral code and got an extra 2,000 points!! (yes, you can too! Just hit this link and sign up and start taking pictures of your receipts!)

Now Ibotta is very similar. Before I go shopping, I look at my list and compare things on the app. If they have some of the items I need up, I hit that plus button until I found everything I need then just shop like normal! After I'm done or home and unloaded, I submit my receipt and after it all loads and goes through, I get cash back! Which in doing so, I'm saving money on my groceries! They're both extremely easy and help guide you through the app until you get the hang of things.

Couponing is essentially the same thing but getting the money off your bill in real time. There are so many ways to get coupons these days including in the newspaper, on various websites, through your local grocery store or even as far as emailing companies directly and just asking. Just make sure to bring your coupons with you to the store, grabbing the right products and scanning them before you pay.

Have you ever heard of taking online surveys to earn points to get gift cards?! It's so crazy easy and you can either make extra time for it or you can use your spare time filling them out! Are you trying to think of when you could find some spare time with a busy schedule..? Some of these surveys range from 5 minutes to 45 minutes so some can actually be done pretty quickly! You can find a few minutes when you're waiting for your morning coffee or in the waiting room at the doctors office... How about take the time on your lunch break to fill out some surveys since you'll probably be on your phone anyway and why not make a few extra dollars?!

Some survey's use the points system and after so many points, you get a gift card or money straight to a bank account! Some surveys you take will just credit your account a certain dollar amount and once you get so much money, deposit it into your account! There are a lot of apps and websites out there but one that I do use and enjoy is Branded Surveys and I definitely recommend that you go check it out! What do you have to lose? 😏

Some easy money in your pocket is definitely affiliate marketing! It may sound weird and confusing but it's as simple as finding the right websites or companies and partnering with them. How it works is you receive a special link from them, you use that link in advertising and whenever someone uses that link to make a purchase, YOU get PAID! It costs no extra money to the customer receiving the products they just bought, it's just the fact that they used your link. Speaking of affiliate marketing, I too, have added some links in this post and now you know how it works! Hear me out... This may seem silly but there's so many ways to save money by Reducing, Reusing and Recycling. I'm just going to throw out some random examples for you and hopefully it will help you think of more ideas in your own home! One thing I love to do is add to my compost to make soil for my outdoor plants that are ironically, in upcycled containers! I take all my veggie scraps from cooking, egg shells and coffee grounds (there's so much more to it, but those things could be a great start!) and put them in a dirt pile outside. Eventually you'll get a nice and healthy compost mixture to add to plants and those products don't end up in the landfill!

Another thing I do for indoor plants is use the water from hardboiled eggs and unsalted pasta! Do you find yourself with a bunch of extra boxes/containers from packages and products you've bought?
